The Kia K4 Kicks off Year-End Awards Season

It’s that time of year where we honor the best that 2024 gave us… and what we’re most excited for in 2025. Hollywood prepares to release its award contenders, music critics debate whether it’s still Brat Winter… and MotorTrend reveals their annual Car of the Year winner. 

This year, MotorTrend narrowed their Car of the Year search down to six finalists. Obviously, this doesn’t allow for all the major brands to be represented. While the 2025 Kia K4’s thoughtful interior impressed judges overall, MotorTrend was especially taken with the GT-Line model’s dual 12.3-inch displays. They’re divided by third, smaller screen that adjusts climate control functions, granting the cabin a fully interactive, futuristic sheen. Considering the K4’s modest frame, this expansive visual configuration immediately pops.  

Those strong opinions continued to the K4’s second row – one of the most spacious in the compact sedan class. Rear seating is both roomy and comfortable, with ample headroom and abundant cargo space.  

It all adds up to a package that overdelivers on the K4’s modest price tag. Yet that fits right into Kia’s overall ethos of affordability without compromise.
